He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Vann and Bessie Vann; his siblings, Aubrey, Raymond, Billie, Bobbie Vann, Elaine Flowers and Esta Hughes; and his granddaughter Heather Rayner.
He is survived by: his wife Bonnie Vann; his children, Christopher Vann, Gerald Vann, Jr. (Lalonnie), Sharon Rayner and Deborah Stanfill (Tim); and his grandchildren, Jason Rayner, Michelle Bryner, Brandy Davis, Ashley White, Courtney Stanfill, Jessica Stanfill, Jordan Vann and Bryce Vann. He is also survived by 13 great grandchildren.
