He was predeceased by: his parents, Iris Rust and George Rust; his wife Barbara Rust; his son Tom Rust; his son-in-law Matt Lodics; and his brothers, Bill, Bob and Jim Rust.
He is survived by: his children, Sandy Voelker (William), Mike Rust (Rita), Gloria Lodics, Richard Rust (Laurie), Barbara Garnett (Bob), Jeff Rust and Patti Jo Wright (Jim). He is also survived by one great-great-granddaughter.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be given in Gene's name to Porter Co. Community Foundation.
