It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dorothy A. Kats of Hebron, Indiana, born in Lansing, Illinois, who passed away on February 20, 2023, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Lambert Wall and Bertha Vander Wall (Swieringa); her husband George Kats; her son George "Bud" Kats; and her sisters, Tena Hoekstra, Nelvy Vander Wall, Beatrice Dykstra and Gladys Van Swol.
She is survived by: her children, Jill Hofferth of Agoura Hills, CA and Dr. Lee Kats of Malibu, CA; her grandchildren, Michael Hofferth (Nash Robb), Megan Donoho (David), Ryan Kats (Cassie) and Laura Wappel (Eric); her great grandchildren, Ozzy Hofferth, Reagan, Paige, Brooke Wappel, Paxton, George and Lenox Kats; and her sister Laverne Nance.
Memorial contributions may be made in Dorothy's name to Providence Hospice.
