He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Hamstra and Harriet Hamstra (Schoonveld); his children, Michael Hamstra and Brenda Hamstra; and his sister Beverly Dahm.
He is survived by: his wife Susie; his children, Alvin Hamstra (Nancy) of DeMotte and Donna Zuchowski (Mark) of Hebron; his sister Marlene Ganzeveld (Hank) of DeMotte; and his stepsisters, Myrna Van Solkema of Michigan and Margaret Orsburn (Bill) of DeMotte. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
