She was predeceased by: her parents, Laverne Raymond Douglas and Loraine Mildred Luchene; her former husband Joseph Sowles; her sons, Daniel Sowles and Donald Beres; and her brothers, Jimmy and Billy.
She is survived by: her husband Joe; her sons, Darrell Sowles (Jill) and Dennis Sowles (Sandi); her daughter-in-law Carol Sowles; her brother Wayne Douglas; her grandchildren, Justin, Brandy (Sean), Andy (Lindsey), Brittany, Alyssa (Al), Samuel (Corinne), Hayley, Heather (Cougar) and Heidi; her great grandchildren, Anthony, Natalie, Jaxon, Kairi, Gabriel, Alexander, Leliana, Trinity, Noah, Zamuel, Sorinne, Ryder and Annika; and her stepmother Charlotte Edwards. She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Hopewell Mennonite Church (805 N Main St, Kouts, IN 46347). A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
