He was predeceased by: his parents, Delphin Halbig and Vernita Halbig (Greubel); his brother-in-law Joe Lamey; his wife Lucille Halbig; his granddaughter Christina Thrasher; his sons-in-law, Rob Seib and Jesse Parrish; and his siblings-in-law, Jerry Lamey (Alma), Edwin Lamey, Charles May (Ruth), Charles Emge and Jerry Riffert (Juliann).
He is survived by: his children, Diane Thrasher, Debbie Seib (Rick LeGrange), Lynn May (Chris), Gina Frederickson (Jim) and Greg Halbig (Lori); his grandchildren, Shannon Osbeck (Zach), Jennifer Stevenson, Stacey Higginbotham (Dan), Dustin May (Kaila), Wesley Seib (Adrienne), Michelle Moll (Jason), Ian Frederickson, Joel Frederickson (Laura), Benjamin Halbig (Katie) and Andy Halbig (Kelsey); and his sisters-in-law, Margaret Emge and Joanne Lamey.
A rosary was held on Tuesday, November 26th 2024 at 8:30 AM at the Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church (211 N Vine St, Haubstadt, IN 47639). Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 26th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Tuesday, November 26th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
