He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles D. Beckett and Ethel Roberts Beckett; his daughter Sheryl Beckett; and his siblings, Shirley Loper, Neosha Love, Harold D. Beckett, Roger Beckett, Olas Beckett and Arthur Beckett.
He is survived by: his wife Janet Wheeler of Hartsville; his children, Mark Beckett (Kathy) of Windermere, FL and Susan Beckett Barry of Forked River, NJ; his grandchildren, Lauren Beckett Thom of Windermere, FL, Andrew Beckett of Windermere, FL, Tim Barry (Lynn) of Tom's River, NJ, Katie Barry of Forked River, NJ and Devin Barry (Brittney) of Tom's River, NJ; and his sister Iris Czap of Hartsville. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
