He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Hawkins and Corrine Hawkins (Dilley); his son Randie J. Hawkins Jr.; his grandsons, Samuel Hawkins, Christopher Hawkins and Aaron Hawkins; and his siblings, Gloria Corbett, Asher Hawkins, Lonnie Hawkins, Edwin Dilly, Jean Jones and Karen Sills.

He is survived by: his wife Mary Lou Hawkins (Jones) of Hartford City; his children, Larry J. Hawkins Sr. (Pona) of Hartford City, Tony L. Hawkins of Hartford City and Connie L. Beeman-Hartman (Brett) of Martinsville, IL; his grandchildren, Larry Hawkins Jr., Jennifer Eberly, Stephen McNutt, Gene McNutt Jr., Andrew McNutt, Anthony Hawkins, Michael Beeman, Andrew Beeman, Joshua Beeman and Joseph Beeman; and his siblings, David Hawkins of Anderson and Rita Futrell. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
