He was predeceased by: his parents, Clinton A. E. Bookout and Virginia Nunn (Bricker); his brother Jim Bookout; and his daughter Angie Hicks. He is survived by: his wife Nancy Elizabeth Bookout (Nichols) of Hartford City; his children, Christine E. Hawes (Rod) of Hartford City, Carol J. Robles (Mike) of Hartford City, Victoria J. Needler (Rick) of Hartford City, Sharon K. Hartley of Hartford City, Wendell, Roy F. Hicks (Tammy) of Muncie, Juanita Bookout and Robert Bookout; and his sisters, Sue Smith (John) of Hartford City and Joan Duke (Tom) of Hartford City. He is also survived by 28 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and many great-great-grandchildren.
