He was predeceased by: his parents, Benjamin Franklin Smith and Hazel Margaret Smith (Clapper); his wife Viola "Bo" Smith (Lex); and his former wife Joyce Smith. He is survived by: his son Kevin D. Smith (Kathy) of Montpelier; his grandchildren, Devin Smith (JoDea) and Drake Smith; and his great grandchild Emersyn Smith.
