It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Melody Ann Batten (Hartford City, Indiana), born in Toledo, Ohio, who passed away on May 31, 2023, at the age of 61, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Herbert Samuel Noethen and Melvina Noethen (Ulbrick); and her siblings, Herbert "Bill" Noethen and Elizabeth Noethen. She is survived by: her husband Randy J. Batten of Hartford City; her daughter Caylene R. Barns of Ohio; her stepchildren, Randy J. Batten of Ft. Wayne, Cassandra M. Batten of Warren and Candace G. Batten of Uniondale, IN; her adoptive daughters, Jazzlyn Kemp of Kokomo and Jadeline Bishop of Marion; her grandchildren, Laura Bessesen, Victor Bessesen, Conner Plagmann and Jenson; and her brothers, Gerald Noethen (Debra) of Texas and Dale Noethen (Yvette) of Florida. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
