It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Martha Jane Hartley (Hartford City, Indiana), who passed away on March 23, 2023, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Emmett Valentine Engle and Catherine Lucille Engle (Buffenberger); her daughter Pamela K. Thornbury; her granddaughter Jessica McIntire; and her siblings, Robert Engle, Lawrence Engle, Shirley J. Jordan, Mary Edna Murphy and Caroline E. Detherage.
She is survived by: her children, Helen M. Stephens (Jim Claghorn) of Hartford City, Ronnie Lee Hartley (Karla) of Hartford City and Timothy A. Hartley of Hartford City; her close friend Perry Danny Wagoner of Hartford City; her grandchildren, Richie Hartley (Mia), Johnny Hartley, Amber Duquette (Collin), Larry Hartley, Shawn Hartley, Kayla Murphy and Jeff Hartley; her great grandchildren, McKenna, Bentley, Trey, Emmalyn, Christopher, Preston, Paisley, Paige, Natasha and Gabby; and her brother James Allen Engle of Hartford City. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
