He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Waldamar Pontius and Vera May Pontius (Scofield); his sister Marquita J. Chadwick (Harold B.); and his granddaughter Kaitlin Rachelle Pontius. He is survived by: his sons, Wayne Pontius (Tammy) of Hartford City, John Pontius (Amy) of Frankfort and Steven Pontius (Amy) of Hartford City; his brothers, Lynn M. Pontius (Marian) of Otis Orchard, WA, Kevin L. Pontius (Marilyn) of Mountain View, CA and Kenton M. Pontius (Connie) of Titusville, FL; and his close friend Ingrid Fear of Muncie. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
