She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Gwendelyn "Gwen" Charles (Mills) and Benjamin "Benny" Franklin Martindale; her husband Ralph Edward Penrod Sr. of Hartford City; her children, Terry A. Shaffer of Hartford City and Ralph E. Penrod Jr. (Debbie) of Hartford City; her grandchildren, Stacey Headlee (Jeff), Jodie Gearheart (Shane), Corey Shaffer (Heather), Creg Penrod (Tara), Cyle Penrod (Keli) and Jason Whitehurst (Julie); her great grandchildren, Hunter Tobey, Jacob Tobey, Maleah Marker, Katrina Gomez, Kamryn Shaffer, Nicholas Shaffer, Lucas Penrod, Codey Penrod, Kyli Penrod, Alexis Whitehurst and Olivia Whitehurst; and her siblings, Julia Elliott, William "Billy" Martindale and Frances "Fanny" Straham. She was also cherished by great-great-grandchildren.
