It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Elbert Guyer (Hartford City, Indiana), born in Jonesboro, Indiana, who passed away on November 5, 2024, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Guyer and Fola Grace Guyer (Richardson); his wife Katy; his sister Izona Spaulding; and his half-sister Ardis Clotter.
He is survived by: his children, Todd Guyer (Maureen "Mo") of Marco Island, FL, Cissy Clock (Marty) of Hartford City, IN and Rev. Mike Fanning (Lisa) of Fort Wayne; his grandchildren, Jordan Guyer (Ashley) of Wesley Chapel, FL, Carly Olinger (Aaron) of Daleville, IN, Madison Kemp (Damon) of Hartford City, IN, Shayla Hall of Bonita Springs, FL, Aliya Hall of Marco Island, FL, Taylor Fanning (Annie) of Fishers, IN, Karis Wilson (Evan) of Fishers, IN and Alyssa Fanning of Fort Wayne; and his great grandchildren, Banx Guyer, Brynlee Guyer, Bodhi Guyer, Bostyn Guyer, Ellie Olinger, Ruby Olinger, Boston Fanning and Judge Fanning.
Visitation was held on Monday, November 11th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, November 12th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Keplinger Funeral Home (509 N High St, Hartford City, IN 47348). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, November 12th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
