He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo C. Overla and Nondis L. Overla (West); and his brothers, Jim Overla, Bert Overla and Charlie Overla.

He is survived by: his wife Martha E. Overla (Cameron) of Hartford City; his children, Randy L. Overla of Hartford City, Nannette Darnell of Hartford City, Cheryl L. Sutton (Tony) of Hartford City, John E. Overla (Tabatha May) of Hartford City, Jeffery A. Overla (Kelly Sue Price) of Hartford City and Denise N. Overla of Hartford City; and his siblings, William Overla (Marlene) of Hartford City, Minnie Garringer of Hartford City and Josie Garringer of Portland. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
