He was predeceased by: his parents, Olin Friar and Jane Williamson-Nestleroad; his siblings, Suzanne Harris (Friar) and Charlie Nestleroad; his stepsisters, Rita Byer and Kaye Hartman; and his niece Debbie Harris.
He is survived by: his wife Karen Friar of Hartford City, IN; his children, Jay Friar (Judy) of Pennville, IN, Teresa Dollar of Montpelier, IN and Jennie Hunter (Clayton); his stepchildren, Brady Smekens (Kristina) of Warren, IN and Angie Harris (Scott); his sister Cheryl Powell of Montpelier, IN; and his stepsiblings, Ann Schoff of Greenville, OH and Keith Nestleroad of Montpelier, IN. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
