He was predeceased by: his parents, Ray Batten and Ida Alice Batten (Bell); his wife Georgia Maxine Batten (Taylor); and his siblings, James Batten, Joseph Batten, Thelma Welch, Roberta Oldfield, Myrtle Rector, Marsha Bost, Betty Cain, Rex Batten, John Batten, Bill Batten, Mildred Rector, Mable J. Batten and Jesse L. Batten.
He is survived by: his daughters, Becky Hoover (Curt) of Hartford City and Melinda Collier (Phillip) of Tipton; his grandchildren, Devin Hoover (Ashley), Drake Hoover, Darci Freds (Bob), Sarah Ewoldt (Seth) and Caleb Collier; his great grandchildren, Shawn, Sage, Samuel Ewoldt, Finn, Maverick, LuLu Hoover, Reed Hoover, Huckston and Georgia Freds; and his sister Jenice Gregory (Gary) of Kokomo. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
