He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter G. Schuhmacher and Frances C. Schuhmacher (Aulbach); and his son Richard A. Schuhmacher. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn A. Schuhmacher (Rees); his children, Stephen H. Schuhmacher (Steve), Brian M. Schuhmacher and Patricia (Pat); his grandchildren, Kathleen Schuhmacher, Jackson Schuhmacher (Jack), Nicholas Schuhmacher (Nick), Anne Marie Schuhmacher (Annie), Matthew Schuhmacher (Matt), Alexis Schuhmacher (Lexi), Timothy Schuhmacher (Tim), Brittani Schuhmacher, Sara Miller (Whitesell), Madeline Schuhmacher (Maddie) and Mary Baird; his great grandchild Robert Schuhmacher; and his sister Ruth Ann Clawson (Schuhmacher).
Visitation was held on Tuesday, March 11th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Waters Funeral Home (501 W Washington St, Hartford City, IN 47348). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Wednesday, March 12th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church (209 S Spring St, Hartford City, IN 47348).
