She was predeceased by: her parents, Rollie Andrew Cook and Emma Lou Cook (Horton); her husband Thomas "Tom" Jordon Cason; her brothers, Coda Cook and Diamond Cook; her son Bruce H. Cason; and her grandchildren, Johnathan Spitler and Harper Steed.
She is survived by: her children, Rita Sharpe of Montpelier, Jeffrey Gephart of Upland, Rebecca "Becky" Pauley of Hartford City, Gary Cason (Julie) of Eaton, David Cason of Jonesboro and Debra Spitler (John) of Goose Creek, SC; and her sister-in-law Sarah Stewart of Minocqua, WI. She is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
