He was predeceased by: his parents, Virgil L. "Poss" Elliott and Lela Irene Elliott (Bousman); his wife Rose Marie Elliott (Sloderbeck); and his siblings, Rodney Bousman, Ronald Elliott, Rusty Allen Elliott, Virgil L. Elliott Jr., Donna Foust and Peggy Sue Shephard.
He is survived by: his children, Lisa M. Cox (Kevin) of Hartford City, Duane L. Elliott (Wendy) of North Carolina and David W. Elliott (Sarah) of Elkhart; his grandchildren, Stephanie Purvis (Matt), Andrew Cox (Carrie Conner), Dalton Elliott, Paige Elliott, Bailey Elliott and Hannah Mae Slocumb (Brendan); and his great grandchildren, E. J. Friel-Purvis, Damen Purvis, Caliopie Purvis, Mia Cox, Bastian Purvis and Alexis Conner. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
