He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Charles B. Montgomery and Sarah A. Montgomery (Carrico); his wife Sarah S. Bartrom; and his children, David Montgomery (Pattie), Kenneth Montgomery (Shawn), Paul Montgomery (Lisa), Michael, Frederick Bartrom (Pat), Peter Bartrom (Kelly), Gregory Bartrom (Kim), Diane Rapaport, Julia Revis (Ryan), Teresa Wade (Duane) and Anne Vaught. He was also cherished by 18 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to St. John's Church in the form of masses, the sister parish of St. John's, St. Catherine of Bouzy in Haiti, or Blackford County Community Foundation.
