He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles W. Cain and Grace A. Cain (Dutro); his wife Rosalind Marie (Barker); his grandson Stephen Cain; and his brother Lloyd N. Cain.

He is survived by: his son Tim L. Cain of Hartford City, Ted.; and his grandchildren, Tera Rich (Austin), Evan Cain, Scott Cain (Leanna), Amanda Lakie (Steve), Brittany Seneff (Patrick), Destiny McWhirt (Michael) and TodMatthew Cain.
