She was predeceased by: her parents, Merle Hoggatt and Marthanna Hoggatt (Lunsford); her stepfather Frank Thurman; and her daughter-in-law Valerie Lechien (Cross). She is survived by: her husband Richard; her children, Mark Lechien (Angela) of Eaton, Marty Lechien (Elaine) of Hartford City, Monty Lechien (Kris) of Eaton and Marcy McCormack (Matt) of Bridgeville, PA.; and her siblings, Karen Franks (Sonny) and John Thurman (Debbie) of Upland. She is also survived by three half-brothers.
