Carolyn Hughes Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carolyn Hughes of Hartford City, Indiana, who passed away on June 16, 2023, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her former husband George R. Hughes; and her nephew Alan Rogers. She is survived by: her son Tracy Hughes (Jean) of Hartford City; her granddaughter Lydia Hughes of Hartford City; her stepgrandchildren, Jeni Bell Butcher of Hartford City, Alex Bell (Maranda) of Muncie and Jake Bell (Brooke) of Muncie; and her sister Marilyn "Kay" Rogers (Roscoe). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews.
As Carolyn had valiantly fought Ovarian Cancer since 1997, memorial contributions may be sent to any cancer service or organization. Memorials may also be made in her name to the Zion Lutheran Church of Hartford City and the Blackford County Community Foundation which supports the library and scholarship funding.
