She was predeceased by: her parents, Merritt Chapman and Vera Ann Chapman (Stone); and her siblings, Bill Chapman, Richard Chapman, Jerry Chapman, Ethel Douglas, Murle Fuqua and Marty Dickson.
She is survived by: her husband Johnny "John" Franklin Austin, Jr. of Hartford City; her daughters, Karla R. Helm (Troy) of Muncie and Tori A. Austin of San Antonio, Texas; and her grandchildren, Jacob Trevino, Kiera Matel (Sam) and Kortney Helm. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
