He was predeceased by: his parents, Ray Townsend and Rachel Townsend (Reading); and his half-siblings, Jack, Bob Turner and Shirley Turner.
He is survived by: his wife Kathy Townsend (Eltzroth) of Hartford City, IN; his children, Ryan Townsend (Mariah) of Harlan, IN, Casey Lightle (Derek) of Hartford City, IN and Jessica Townsend (Drew Jones) of Hartford City, IN; his stepdaughters, Brenda Clark of Hartford City, IN and Kelley Seibert (Joseph) of Anderson, IN; and also Ed Townsend of Fort Wayne, IN.. He is also survived by 14 Grandchildren, 5 Great Grandchildren.
