He was predeceased by: his parents, Wayne D. Nicholls and Garcile McDowell (Smith); and his grandsons, Dakota Nuechterlein and Elliott Nicholls. He is survived by: his wife Kalene F. Baker of Harlan, Indiana; his children, Kristina Nuechterlein of Fort Wayne, Monte L. Nicholls, II (Shari) of Noblesville and Adam W. Nicholls (Charlotte) of Fort Wayne, Indiana; his grandchildren, Ashley Fuelling, Xavier Nicholls, Evan Nicholls, Laney Nicholls and Winston Nicholls; and his great grandchild Trinity Fuelling.
