He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Imel and Bertha K. Wright Imel; and his wife Sharon Ann Lewis Imel. He is survived by: his children, Yvonna Imel Scott of Madison, Marlena Imel Woods (Brian) of Pittsboro, Indiana and Mitchell Imel (Jodie) of Lafayette, Indiana; his grandchildren, Erin Wade (Luke), Elizabeth Curtice (Robbie), Emily Cimini (Matteo) and Layne Imel (Madeline); his great grandchildren, Morgan Wade, Hayden Curtice, Liam Curtice and Luna Cimini; and his close friend Annie Ballenger of Jeffersonville, Indiana.
Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers, to the First Baptist Church in downtown Madison or to the House of Hope or the charity of the donor's choice.
