She was predeceased by: her parents, Ed Burton and Frieda Bright Burton; and her grandparents, Edward, Isla Cuba Selig Bright, Lena Mae Rowlett Burton and Selby Burton.
She is survived by: her husband Chance Rice; her son James Blake Rice (Jade Hamby) of Madison, Indiana; her granddaughters, Ava, Samantha and Katelyn; her siblings, Annette Burton Green (Rick) of Madison, Janice Burton "Sissy" Compton (Mike) of Milton, Kentucky, James Edward Burton (Marsha) of Madison and Douglas Burton (Wanda) of Madison, Indiana; her nieces and nephews, Jimmy, Tonya, Jeanie, Jeremy, Derek, Sharla, Tim, Casey, Emily, Jonathan, Josh and Jerell; and her aunts, Brenda Brittain (Larry), Jean Reed (George) and Florene Spry. She is also survived by several cousins and other relatives.
