He was predeceased by: his parents, William L. Watterson and Mary Louise Ware Watterson; his son Jared Corey Watterson; his brothers, Terry William Watterson and Gary Wayne Watterson; his brother-in-law Willis Fox; his nephew Greg Cloud; and his niece Alesha Shelton.
He is survived by: his wife Bonnie Lou Hamm Watterson of Hanover, Indiana; his children, William Derek Watterson of Madison, Wesley E. Watterson of Madison, Indiana, Nyoka Butters of Hanover and Kimberly Butters of Hanover, Indiana; and his sisters, Kay Shelton (Leonard) of Lexington, Pamela Sue Cloud (Dennis) of Hanover and Cheryl A. Fox of Hanover, Indiana. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and other relatives.
