He was predeceased by: his parents, J. Clarence Gray and Ida Lou Davis Gray; his son James Robert Hatton; his brothers, Lester Gerald "Jerry" Gray and Stanley Floyd "Doc" Gray; his son Greg Clubb; and his nephew James Russell Risk.
He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Taylor of Hanover; his stepchild Ryan Taylor (Mandy); his stepgrandchildren, Jackson Taylor and Ashton Furnish; his daughter Christi Clubb Decker (Gary); his grandchildren, Taylor Ann Decker, Brandon Decker and James Robert Lanham; his sister Doris Elaine Gray Risk (Larry E.); his nieces and nephews, Rhonda Lee Risk Swartz (Roger), Larry A. Risk (Christy), Kathi Gray Scroggins, Gerald D. Gray (Rhonda), Barry A. Gray and Angel Nichole Gray; his sister-in-law Joyce D. Reece Gray; his great-nieces and great-nephews, Aaron Robert Owens, A. J. Owens, Alex Risk, Macy Risk, Brandon Scroggins (Cheryl), Amanda Scroggins Jang (Roman), Timothy Gray, Aaron Gray (Lacey), Leslie Dailey (Scott), Jesse Collins, Harley Gray, Lindsay Nott, Tiffany Dossett, Nicholas Gray and Emily Gray; and also Tara Klontz (Jack). He is also survived by several cousins and other relatives.
