He was predeceased by: his parents, John David Burchett and Louella Combs Burchett; his daughter Deborah Burchett; and his siblings, Virginia Craft, Ellen Hicks, William, Scott, Hezikiah and Wayne Burchett.
He is survived by: his children, Shirley Jewell (James) of North Vernon, Indiana, Carl Michael Burchett (Elizabeth) of Deputy, Steven J. Burchett of Deputy and Gary D. Burchett (Patricia) of Deputy, Indiana; his sister Allie Hearn of Hanover, Indiana; his grandchildren, Melissa, Janie, Erin, Brent, Amanda and Grace; and his great grandchildren, Lucas, Jackson, Lizzie, Bladen, Jesse, Brittany, Bethany, Blake, Brooklynn, Meadow, Macy, Hunter and Briar. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
