He was predeceased by: his parents, Seaton Herman and Nola Hodges (Roberts); his son Bart Hodges; his siblings, Virginia (James Burgett), Lee Hodges, Robert Hodges, Kenneth Hodges, James Hodges and Harold Hodges; and his brother-in-law Tommy Kirk.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Hodges of Hanover; his children, Danny Rice (Jennifer) of Greenwood, Martin Shutt of Tampa and Tammy Williams (Heath) of North Vernon, Indiana; his grandchildren, Casey Jo Williams, Liam Williams, Devon Smith, Kelsey Smith, Ashlyn Smith and Paisley Rice; and his sister Betty Kirk of Middleburg, Florida..
