She was predeceased by: her parents, Rachel A. Strunk Kirby and Simon L Kirby; her son Chadwick "Chad" Delany Gunter; and her siblings, Rose Wheeler, Dewell "Duke" Kirby, Denvil Kirby and Lowell Kirby.

She is survived by: her sons, Thomas "Tony" Anthony Gunter (Cindy) of Owensboro, Kirby "Cheyne" Cheynan Gunter (Robin) of Chelsea and William Farrell Stephens of Jacksonville, Florida; her daughter-in-law Tracy Dawn Tucker Gunter of Madison, Indiana; her grandchildren, Chase Alexander Gunter, Justin Gunter, Cherokee Delany Gunter of Madison, Ayden Stephens, Rose Geneva Stephens, Kristy Brown, Tina Moore and Dustin Roberts (Jessica); her great grandchildren, Olivia, Della Jane, Rowan, Kyla, Mollie, Marissa, Koleman, Aubrey, Gavin and Audi; her great great grandchildren, Nevaeh, Kamdyn and Lincoln; her siblings, Mary Kirby Kelly (Mike) of Madison, Indiana and William Lewis Kirby (Eva) of Hanover, Indiana; and her sister-in-law Carol Kirby. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
