He is survived by: his wife Tamara Lynn Catron Davenport of Hanover, Indiana; his son David "Gabe" Gabrial Davenport (Crystal) of Madison, Indiana; his granddaughter Lona Lynn Davenport of Madison, Indiana; his siblings, June Wilson of St. Petersburg, Velta Surber (Carl) of New Castle, Rita Mace (Ron) of Hendersonville, Lucy Davenport Stevens of Muncie, Indiana and Glenn Davenport (Cindy) of Straughn, Indiana; and his sister-in-law Sandy Davenport of New Castle, Indiana. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews.

Visitation was held on Sunday, September 8th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the New Prospect Baptist Church (7007 S Majors Rd, Hanover, IN 47243). A funeral service was held on Sunday, September 8th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the same location.

Memorial contributions may be made to the New Prospect Cemetery or the Jefferson County Indiana Animal Shelter.
