He is survived by: his grandchildren, Brodee and Bailee; his wife Sarah Lorton Ray of Madison, Indiana; his son Daniel Ray (Abby Ray) of Louisville, Kentucky; his stepdaughter Kelli Schmidt (Allan Schmidt) of Madison, Indiana; his grandchildren, Gavin Ray (Haley), Hunter Ray, Adrianna Ray and Brighton Ray; his great grandchildren, Zariah Ray, Zayliah Ray, Zayda Ray, Gavin Ray Jr. and Gunner Ray; his sister Linda Stangle (Kurt) of Carrollton; his uncle David Ray (Hazel) of Crestwood; his close friend Mickey "Mick" McCullough (Kaye); his mother-in-law Mary Carol Stanner Lorton of Madison; his siblings-in-law, Marilyn Kirchner (Joe), Donna Turner, Patti Lorton Welsh, Michael, Louise Lorton, John Lorton, Barbara, Dennis McDonough, Scott, Michelle Karst, Beth and Bryan Taylor; his aunt Minnie Tilley; and his uncles, Allen Donald Tilley and Herschel Dewayne Oak. He is also survived by his many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
