He was predeceased by: his parents, Margaret Hopkins Erwin and Thomas "Shorty" Erwin; his brother Daniel Erwin; and his grandson Dustin. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Diane Miller Erwin of Hanover, Indiana; his children, Robert "Bobby" Erwin (Stephanie) of Shelbyville, William Thomas Erwin (Erin) of Commiskey, David Wayne Erwin of North Vernon, Indiana and Melissa Kaye Medlock (Jimmy) of Cincinnati, Ohio; his grandchildren, Jessica, Robert Jr., Crystal, Derrick, Caleb, Kira, Kyle and Logan; and his siblings, Carolyn Jessie (Randall) of Dupont, Indiana and Rick Erwin of Madison, Indiana. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
