With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Basil Newman (Hanover, Indiana), who passed away on October 29, 2019 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Merritt B. Newman and Flossie Dean Newman; his siblings, Masil Fletcher, Phyllis Mahnke and Donald Ray Newman; his brother-in-law Tom Mahnke; and his nephews, Stephen and Ronald Fletcher.
He is survived by: his children, Pauline H. Richardson (Dave) of Scottsburg, Indiana, Basil Allen Newman (Kim) of Deputy and John R. Newman (Janet Cardinal) of Lexington, Indiana; his grandchildren, Alicia, Gregory, Colton and Kevin; his great grandchildren, Jonathon and Ashlyn; and the mother of his children Flora Adams Newman of Madison, Indiana. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
