He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Shei and Mary Mae Shei (James); his wife Betty "Joan" Peters; and his siblings, Kenneth Shei, Bernice Perschke and Carol Bealor.
He is survived by: his children, Rebecca Kirsch (Russ) of La Porte, Indiana and Roger Shei (Lynne) of Hanna, Indiana; and his siblings, Maxine Lawrence (Gerald) of La Porte, Deloris Games of La Porte, Joan Werner of Hanna, Indiana and Les Shei of Hanna, Indiana.. He is also survived by five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren.
