He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Lee Blackman Sr. and Dolores Blackman; and his brothers, David L. Blackman and Cornelius Blackman. He is survived by: his fiancée Abigail Bullock-Blackman; and his brothers, Isaac and Raymond. He is also survived by uncles and aunts, nephews and nieces.
