It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Virginia Guzman of Hammond, Indiana, who passed away on December 24, 2024, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Joseph R. Guzman; and her parents, Regino Covarrubias and Jesusa Covarrubias. She is survived by: her children, Christine Rivera (Rick), Lupe Mendoza (Alfonso), Sandra Alvarez (John), Eliza Gonzalez (Ramon), Jennifer Ponce, Richard Guzman (Sarah), Patricia Molina (Guillermo), Vicky Ooms (James), Joseph Guzman (Natalia) and Daniel Guzman (Melissa); and her siblings, Juanita, Martina, Lauro, Regino, Jesse, Alice, Beatrice, Josephine, Edward, Rebecca and Sandy Covarrubias.
