It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Suzanne De La Riva of Hammond, Indiana, who passed away on January 13, 2025, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Suzanne De La Riva to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her husband Joseph; her parents, Ted Bielat and Lillian; her brother Thomas Bielat; her niece Jennifer Lunsford; and her pets, Penny, Griffin and Cooper.
She is survived by: her children, Joe De La Riva, Tom De La (Michelle), Amy De La (Tera), Ted De La (Brittney) and Kristen De La (Dominic); her grandchildren, Angela and Ashley De La Riva; and her pet Sherlock. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Solan Pruzin Funeral Home (14 Kennedy Ave, Schererville, IN 46375). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Hammond Animal Control would be appreciated.
