He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Mata and Carmen Mata; and his siblings, Robert Jr. and Mona Blanco. He is survived by: his wife Stella; his children, Ronald Ciro Mata Jr., Josephine "Princess" Salazar (Marcus), Robert Rene Mata (Dolores) and Stephanie Gonzalez (Marco); and his siblings, Lydia Summerford (late Dwight), Richard Mata Sr. (Sandra), Rudy Mata (Pat), Raymond Mata Sr. (Nanette) and Roy Mata (Dawn). He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to Stella for a charity of her choice.
