Acker of Hammond, Indiana, born in Columbus, Mississippi, who passed away on August 18, 2022, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Zach Acker and Ophelia Acker (Wallace); and his siblings, Louise Acker, Joe Acker (Jean) and Thomas Acker.
He is survived by: his wife Judy Acker (Starkey); his children, Robert Acker Jr. (Lisa), Michelle Acker-Van (Scott) and Karen Acker-Frazier (Craig); and his grandchildren, Joshua Boecher, Caitlin Acker, Carley Acker, Jacob Ferris, Blake Ferris, Savannah Frazier, Caleb Acker and Alexander Frazier. He is also survived by brother-in-law George Richard Click; many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
