He is survived by: his wife Luz Alcantar; his children, Elena Alcantar (Manuel), Isabel Alcantar (Juan Soto), Erik Alcantar (Lupe) and Edgar Alcantar (Jose Mendez); his grandchildren, Lizeth (Jaime), Eduardo, Juan, Edgar Rafael (Valeria), Erik, Jr. and Jovanni; and his great grandchildren, Jahayra, Adrianna, Yareli, Ricardo and Nizah. He is also survived by brothers and sisters; numerous nieces and nephews.
