He is survived by: his wife Rosaura Mendez; his children, Judith Mendez Serrano (Jesus) of Murietta, CA, Miguel Mendez of Chicago, IL, Francisco Mendez (Vanessa) of Chicago, IL and David Mendez (Lela) of Plainfield, IL; his granddaughters, Lauren Alvarez, Amanda Alvarez, YuleisySantiesteban, Alexandra Henry and Genevieve Mendez; and his siblings, Carlos Mendez, Arturo Mendez Chavez, Edgar Najera, Susan Eddings, Beatriz Mendez, Lucila Mendez, Silvia Mendez and Edith Nieto. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
