It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Ellen Cade of Hammond, Indiana, who passed away on May 6, 2022, at the age of 56, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Kaftanic and Marilyn Kaftanic; and her niece Michaela Elizabeth Hoover. She is survived by: her husband Charles "Tom" Cade; her siblings, Dennis (Teresa), Tim Kaftanic (Shannon), Donna Sako, Pam Phelps (Dennis) and Janice Lubbenhusen (Scott); her siblings-in-law, Tim Cade and Teresa Caskey (Tim); her nieces and nephews, Heather Cowham (Kevin), Michele Houldieson (Matthias), Amanda Coleman (Dan), Leigha Barrett (Andrew), Ashley Phelps, Stephen Kaftanic, Christian Kaftanic (YiYi), Donny Hoover (Blaire), Mackenzie Kaftanic, Auston Buchanan, Zach Hansell, Kyla Sellers, Grace Wothke, Tyler Caskey, Sam Caskey and Austin Caskey; and her great-nieces and great-nephews, Reagan Cowham, Lukas, Peyton Houldieson, Evan, Caleb Barrett, Kinley, Dexter, Blake Coleman, Israel Kaftanic and Zevina Kaftanic.
