She was predeceased by: her husband Vincent; her son Armando; her parents, Cruz Vela and Francisca Vela; and her brothers, Tony, Charlie and Frank Vela.
She is survived by: her children, Amanda Abraham, Aminta Noble (Randall), Vincent De La (Lori), Katrina Kendrick (Christopher), Toni Duttweiler (Richard) and Mary Pitts; her grandchildren, Amber, Eryk, Rita, Monica, Olivia, Anna and Eve; her great grandchildren, Gunner and Brynn; and her siblings, Carmen Flores (late Baldemar "Chico"), Angie Vega (late Joe) and Richard Vela (late Doran). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Mary's Catholic Church.
