She was predeceased by: her parents, Alonzo Charo and Maria Charo; and her siblings, Samuel, Jose Angel, Alonzo, Roy, Irma "Alice", Cayetano and Leonel.
She is survived by: her children, Frank Hernandez (Cindy), Maryann Cavazos, Luis Hernandez and Rosa Rubio; her grandchildren, Jessica, Erica, Jason, Sylvia, Julia, Matthew, Stephanie, Nathan, Isabelle, Benjamin, Emily, Melanie, Yasmine, Layla and Emma; her great grandchildren, Alice, Alena, Angelo, Ceasar, Ethan, Natalie and Naomi; and her sister Gloria Vargas (Borrado).
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 23rd 2024 from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the New Life Community Church (116 Hoffman Street, Hammond, IN 46327). A memorial service was held on Saturday, November 23rd 2024 at 7:00 PM at the same location.
